Here's another cool event I stumbled across on facebook. "You Are a Queen," produced by the theatre ensemble AWARE, uses the performing arts to promote education and awareness about HIV/AIDS in the community. Did I mention that it's FREE!? It's also really centrally located at Hibernian Hall, right in the heart of Dudley Square, so transportation isn't a problem. Check out the details after the jump.

About the production...“You Are The Queen” is a theatre and lyrical art performance highlighting the power of black women, their journeys and their relationships. This as-sortment creatively weaves together poetry, monologues, dialogues and forum theatre to form a work of inspiration for black women and their communities.
About AWARE... Aware is a theatre ensemble committed to community edutainment, promoting awareness on matters of social justice with a special commitment to HIV/AIDS. Emphasizing theatre that is “for the people” and “by the people”, AWARE uses innovative techniques that invite audience participation, and uses fun to inspire us to think, engage and build relationships.
